Dear brothers and
sisters
Anyone who yearns to "know" God, anyone who seeks to "know" God,
anyone who does what is necessary to direct his/her life to God, is
likely to meet Him. That can be in so many ways!
History and faith tell us that God revealed Himself to anyone who
sought Him. The most evident time of such a meeting is at Christmas
time. But today so many of us have taken a road that does not lead
to Him, to Jesus Christ.
"It's heard," some say; "I forgot Him," say others, etc. December
25th is when He revealed Himself to humanity, in an unknown town of
Nazareth. What a story is His life!
All this reminds me of our 100th year jubilee! We know of the many
parochial celebrations we shared in, the magnificent celebration of
the archdiocese on November 23rd that brought together so many of
us, and recently, many of us rejoicing in Handel's Messiah.
Bringing all this together - we see these moments as signs of God's
love and presence in all of our lives.
May you be open to God's love in all of life.
Joyous Christmas and Blessed New Year
