Ringo Lam loads boxes of the 2007 / 2008 Catholic Directory for British Columbia and the Yukon, which are now available for ordering from The B.C. Catholic web site, http://bcc.rcav.org/directory.htm.

Each year the Archdiocese of Vancouver produces the Catholic Directory, and for the first time ever, this year’s edition features full-colour ads as well as a revamped cover with a photograph transposed over the traditional design. The new directory, with its cleaner look and its beefed-up business directory, is quite possibly the best version of the directory to date.

As always the directory is organized by diocese, and includes the Vancouver Archdiocese, the Military Ordinariate, the New Westminster Eparchy, and the Mass, confession times; contact info Kamloops, Nelson, Prince George, Victoria, and Whitehorse Dioceses. In addition, the Prelature of the Holy Cross and Opus Dei has a page of its own.

The directory includes information on a variety of organizations associated with the Catholic Church in B.C. and the Yukon. Parish phone numbers, Mass times, confession times, and contact information for the Curia are available for each diocese, as well as information regarding lay organizations, chaplaincies, councils, schools, religious orders, and associations.

New for this year is an improved business directory, now with colour and more businesses to chose from, from architecture to truck repairs.

Directories can be purchased by paying a visit to 150 Robson St. in Vancouver, or by ordering online at http://bcc.rcav.org/directory.htm. Each directory costs $13, while shipping costs vary by location: shipping one copy costs $2.50 within Canada, and up to five copies can be shipped within the Lower Mainland for $5.
